Hi Val, miss you!! I'm so glad you had the opportunity to practice transfers on your own! It's comforting to know that it's not the end of the world if we don't perform them 100% by the book as long as we keep the safety and what is best for the client in mind. Can't wait to see you soon and hear more about it!
I am so proud you were able to complete transfers independently! I feel like our class as a whole gets nervous about literally holding a client in our hands. I am glad your fieldwork educator instilled confidence in you to do so!
I also feel like I need to learn more about common diagnoses before heading out, or at least refresh myself with the functional implications of different diagnoses.
